Our Top Batman Gadgets We'd Love to Own
As lovers of everything Batman, one thing that always makes us fall just that little bit extra in love with the caped crusader is his impressive arsenal of gadgets!
Whether he's getting himself out of trouble or taking down the latest villains, Batman always surprises us with his latest top-of-the-range cutting edge gadget that are the perfect tools for the job of protecting Gotham City.
As a bit of fun and to help remind ourselves and you guys of the impressive collection, we thought we would rustle up a little shortlist of some of our personal favourites that we would love to own for every day (maybe not everyday then) life. Take a look....
Grapple Gun
Originally debuted on the silver screen in 1989's Batman, the grapple gun has certainly taken Batman out of some sticky situations as well as keeping him on the tails of those pesky baddies. Essentially a spring loaded hook attached to some special ultra thin, ultra strong wire to keep everything nice and compact, it can be launched anywhere and will pull you up and away out of danger.
Why do we want this? Well, imagine this...walking down the street and spot someone you'd rather not speak to...fire and away you go until the coast it clear. Social bliss! Plus it beast walking up flights of stairs huh.
What do Chunk Clothing eat for Breakfast?
The new tee collection of Chunk T-Shirts has landed at TruffleShuffle. With their humorous take on iconic retro characters and movies, it does make us wonder what the designers there eat for breakfast!! With that in mind, here's some questions only Chunk Clothing would ask themselves:
- What would the cast of Star Wars look like in their 1977 School Yearbook?
- If you double parked your AT-AT would a parking attendant still clamp it?
- Does Darth Vader do a little DJing 'on-the-side'?
- What would Mr.T be like if he were a dog?!?!
Retro Artwork with a Classical Twist
As big fans of all things retro, we just instantly fell in love with these amazing pictures.
Featuring some of the most iconic retro characters from the 80s such as Batman, Skeletor and Spiderman, and few few rocognisable faces from Star Wars of course, these fab pictures offer an amazing twist on some classical style artworks.
Take a peek!
Our new Superhero Jumpers have really got us jumping for joy!
It took us a while to land back down to Earth after these AMAZING DC Comics Superhero Jumpers flew in! Such a rare find, we were stoked when these knitted beauties took off from the States and made their way to Truffle Towers here in the UK.
So, the only questions now is... which one will it be?
Top Cartoon Voices - Who are they?
Are you an animaniac? Crazy for cartoons? Well you probably have a great collection of Cartoon T-Shirts already (if not, why not?) but have you ever really thought about some of the voices behind your favourite animated characters?
Me neither, so I set off in search of some of my favourite characters and voices. Here's what I found....
Grandpa Huxtable was a Thundercat!
Between 1984 & 1992, Earle Hyman played Grandpa Russell Huxtable in The Cosby Show. Despite being a trombone playing, Hillman College graduate and a really bad buyer of sweaters in this popular sitcom he was also moonlighting as a humanoid warrior feline from outer space, Panthro.
Panthro was the resident mechanic in the cartoon Thundercats and was also the least clothed member after Snarf.
Guest Post: Rock Chick vs Geek Chic
Just before Christmas, me and fellow blogger Emily Jayne were discussing our favourite TruffleShuffle 80's t-shirts, as you do. It was interesting to see how although we had similar tastes our personal style is so different. So whereas I was more ârock chickâ, Emily was more âgeek chicâ.
Thatâs the beauty of TruffleShuffle, there is something for everyone. Whether you grew up listening to your favourite punk rock band or watching Neighbours, there is a t-shirt to bring back those good memories!
We thought weâd embrace our individual styles by joining forces for a âRock Chick vs Geek Chicâ photo-shoot, picking a TruffleShuffle tee to take you from day to night. Choosing a t-shirt from TruffleShuffle is always hard because there is SO much choice but in the end I chose a David Bowie t-shirt and Emily a She-Ra Tee. Very fitting for our themes!
For my day look I wore my Bowie tee with some leather look trousers, cowboy boot heels, a camouflaged army jacket and my wolf Spirithood (it kept my head nice and warm)!
