May The Fourth Be With You!
![]()
It's that day that approachs faster than an Ewok on a runaway speeder bike - Star Wars Day!
Hopefully your favourite Chewie t-shirt is freshly pressed and your Darth cape is back from the dry cleaners in time to flex your intergalatic fashion this weekend. If not, we are definitely the people to help you out with your Star Wars Clothing dilemma.....
If you're reading this thinking 'What the heck are they on about?' then here's a little background...
'May 4 is considered a holiday by Star Wars fans to celebrate Star Wars culture and honor the films. It is called Star Wars Day because of the popularity of a common pun spoken on this day. Since the phrase "May the Force be with you" is a famous quote often spoken in the Star Wars films, fans commonly say "May the fourth be with you" on this day.

Classic 80s Movie Posters Recreated...With Kids
Here at Truffle Towers, we love a new twist on something classic. Be it a friendly mix of The Godfather and Transformers resulting in our Tronfather T-Shirt, or maybe even a mash up of Pink Floyd and Button Moon giving us our Dark Side of Button Moon T-Shirts, we have always had an eye on other peoples interpretations of the classic films and TV shows from our 'not too distant' past.
On one of our many travels through the weird and wonderful world of cyberspace, we stumbled over some fantastic recreations of classic 80s films posters this time using some cheeky chappies. Utterly adorable, and such a cool idea, take a look at what we found...

Can you think of any other classic retro posters you've love to see getting the same treatment? Let us know with a comment below. :)
We've Bean Going Crazy for Mr Bean!
Here at Truffle Towers, following the recent arrival of our very own official Mr Bean T-Shirts weâve bean getting a little obsessed with the comedy legend himself Mr Bean. His troublesome antics have had the whole office in stitches.
His quirky and unique take on life has you watching in wonder and crying with joy as he scrabbles his way out of trouble in the most creative and inventive ways. Kind of like if you combined Charlie Chaplinâs silent slapstick style with the initiative of Mcgyver.
This Clip may explain my point a little clearer
Mr Bean is a true golden crown of British comedy, when you consider his ability to have you rolling on the flood with laughter with barely saying a word, he may even be the Charlie Chaplin of our time! His comedy spans across generations, countries, cultures and is so global despite any language barriers.
So, to help put our Bean cravings at rest, here are five of some of my favourite scenes from the Slapstick McGyver himself Mr Bean....
1)Mr Bean Paints his house
2)Mr Bean Parking Lot

10 Things You [Probably] Didn't Know About...Superman
With the amazing new Superman film Man of Steel coming our way in the not to distant future (well...Friday 14th June to be exact), we thought it would be the perfect time to dig up some cool, interesting and perhaps shocking Superman facts to tickle your superhero taste buds in preparation for the action packed feature film.
Some of these you may already know, some you might not (we didn't!), but sit back and breath it all in :)
1) Superman was originally created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster waaaay back in 1932 but was rejected many times by many different publishers. When Jerry and Joe originally created Superman he also wasn't the bright blue and red caped superhero we all love today which may have been a reason.
2) Superman wasn't actually born 'Super'. That's right! All people on his home planet Krypton are essentially powerless as the planet has a red Sun, it's not until Superman lands on Earth which Sun is yellow which means a Kryptonian's cells can absorb and convert these new solar rays into incredible power. As young Clark Kent grew older, he grew more powerful as his body was able to store more solar energy and convert it more effectively making him super!

3) The S in the Superman shield logo doesn't actually stand for Superman. Wowowowhaaat?! The explanation for Superman's symbol has changed a few times. For decades, the comics simply said it was nothing more than a stylized monogram designed by Clark and his adopted parents, something they whipped up together after deciding on his new alias. HOWEVER....Superman: Birthright, writer Mark Waid revealed that the symbol was not a family crest, as the films had first indicated, but was an ancient Kryptonian symbol that meant "hope." The name Superman came after the symbol was created.
