Classic Movie Cars Go Under The Hammer

This week at Truffle Towers we've gone all 'car'azy with the exciting news that some of the most iconic retro movie cars have been sort of re-discovered and are being put up for sale!

Two of our most favouritist cars ever, the while Lotus Esprit from James Bond's The Spy Who Loved Me AAAAND the infamous Ferris Bueller based on the Ferrari 250 GT California (dreamy!), which although is a replica, still has an impressive 500 ponies in the stable to help get you down the road. Not bad eh!

This car is such a huge part of the film and anyone who has seen it (hopefully you lovely lot!), knows and loves this car. Three replicas were built in just four weeks for this film and they didn't really get treated too well as we know :/

In 2010, DJ and The One Show presenter Chris Evans paid an amazing £12m (yes...12 million!) for a genuine 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO which makes it one of the most expensive cars...EVER!

If this is perhaps a little rich for you, you can always pick up one of our official Ferris Bueller T-Shirts for only £19.99...

My Work Experience Week at Truffle Shuffle

Hi guys! I’m Jack and have just finished my work experience at Truffle Shuffle and I’m going give you a little behind the scenes look into the week of a life here at Truffle Towers so you can see what I’ve been up to.

Monday

Monday was my first day working at Truffle Shuffle and after I’d been introduced to the gang, I went off to work in the warehouse with Andy and Ron (the Don), picking orders from the shelves and then packaging them for deliver to you lucky lot. After my lunch I carried on doing this until it was time to put all the deliveries into a Royal Mail bag to be counted and taken away, for the rest of the day I opened the fresh new deliveries and put them on the shelves. So that was my first day done and I couldn’t wait for what lay ahead.

Tuesday

Today I spent the majority of the morning looking through social networking sites at how TruffleShuffle present themselves to you and I. After this I spent time looking at the website looking for any things that could be improved then presented my idea’s to head Shuffler Pat. In the afternoon I helped customer services hero Amy go through the returned items and putting them back on the system before going back to the warehouse to open the new deliveries.

GREAT SCOTT.... Back to the Future turns 28!! Is it the most perfect retro movie?

With so many dates involved with the three Back to the Future films it’s hard to work out which anniversary you should be wearing your Back to the Future T-Shirts for. Trust me, today is one of the days you should be wearing your flux capacitor with pride but that's not because it's the anniversary of the day that Doc Brown asks Marty McFly to meet him at 1:15 A.M. at the Twin Pines Mall it’s not even the anniversary of the day Doc, Marty, Jennifer and Einstein travelled to Oct. 21, 2015... 28 years ago today saw Doc Brown and Marty McFly unleashed on the public!

I may have only been 3 at the time, but with a massive love of all things automotive it wouldn't have taken a rocket scientist to work out that this retro blockbuster was likely to become my favourite flick! Never have I craved some movie merchandise so much more than wanting my very own DeLorean since the very first time I saw this movie!

I would be willing to bet that this is the perfect retro movie for petrolheads around the world, but is this movie really perfect? Well, with so many continuity errors in it it would appear not.... But I think I love the movie even more for it's funny little foibles. Here's 10 of my favourite....

1 - When Doc and Marty are at the Twin Pines Mall and Doc is telling Marty about the car etc, he says "never mind that now, never mind that now..." and Marty has the camera facing the ground, yet later when Doc in 1955 is watching the video, you can see him saying that on the video.
