Top Cartoon Voices - Who are they?

Are you an animaniac? Crazy for cartoons? Well you probably have a great collection of Cartoon T-Shirts already (if not, why not?) but have you ever really thought about some of the voices behind your favourite animated characters?

Me neither, so I set off in search of some of my favourite characters and voices. Here's what I found....

Grandpa Huxtable was a Thundercat!

Between 1984 & 1992, Earle Hyman played Grandpa Russell Huxtable in The Cosby Show. Despite being a trombone playing, Hillman College graduate and a really bad buyer of sweaters in this popular sitcom he was also moonlighting as a humanoid warrior feline from outer space, Panthro.

Panthro was the resident mechanic in the cartoon Thundercats and was also the least clothed member after Snarf.

JIMBOOOOOOOOO!

Jimbo and the Jet-Set

Your brain does funny things. Its amazing what it picks up, stores & reacts to. Whilst going about my daily duties I must have subconciously noticed the Jimbo T-Shirts as I spent most of the day and the majority of that evening humming the Jimbo and the Jet-Sets theme tune and mumbling 'JIMBOOOOO!!' just like the air traffic controller at the end of the opening credits.

Well, if you've ever tried to get a song out of your head you will know its easier said than done but as I've learnt with this example, trying to forget a theme tune that only contains one word (Jimbo) is nothing short of a nightmare!!!

I have no idea how to avoid this slightly annoying situation happening again but one thing I do know is that I won't take browsing through our Cartoon T-Shirts so lightly from now on.

So I suppose the point to this blog is a friendly warning that shopping with TruffleShuffle.com can cause some serious feelings of Nostalgia. To prove my point, I dare you to watch the theme tune to Jimbo and the Jet-Set below and not hum it for the rest of your day!!

Possible Saved By The Bell Reunion!!

When it comes to shows from our childhood's, Saved By The Bell has to be one of our favourites and so imagine the excitement at Truffle Towers this morning when we heard about a possible reunion show!

Yes that's right, you heard us - rumour has it that the old gang could once again grace our screens after Mark-Paul Gosselaar — the artist formerly known as Saved by the Bell’s Zack Morris said he is willing to return to Bayside High School.

Saved By The Bell Cast

Dennis Haskings AKA Principle Belding has previously said "I have always supported a reunion of any kind including all of us. Honestly, the fans still love us and our show so much … they deserve it!"

What do you think about Mark-Paul Gosselaar comments? Would you watch a “Saved By the Bell” reunion or would you prefer there to be a spin-off? We would so love this to actually happen and see what Kelly, Jessie, Lisa, Zack, A.C Slater and of course Screech have been getting up to since we last saw them in 1993!

So it's just Dustin Diamond, Lark Voorhies, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez that need to agree now and it could happen - what are our chances?!

We are going to sit and watch re-runs and pray to the retro gods that this happens, all while sporting our latest Saved By The Bell T-Shirts while we wait............

Introducing Urban Species exciting new collaborations!

We are very proud to present two of Urban Species brand new collaborations, they have designed exciting new ranges with esteemed artist Sidney Maurer and iconic publication Life Magazine. Released together these fab new Urban Species T-Shirts celebrate famous Hollywood, Sports and Music icons as well as nostalgic 90's pop culture. I'll give a quick run down of these brand new tees.

Girls wanted to get with him, guys wanted to be him, Johnny Depp was the epitome of cool in the 80's and 90's (and still is in our opinion!). This awesome tee, celebrates this icon against a jazzy 90's background and is part of the new Life Magazine collection for Urban Species.

This great, new, vintage style tee from the Life Magazine collection for Urban Species celebrates the genius of one of America's greatest musicians, Johnny Cash who brought us such cult classics as, I Walk The Line and Ring Of Fire.

Will Smith was where is was at in the 80's and 90's. Not only was he hot, cool and funny, he had a starring role in US comedy Fresh Prince Of Bel Air and a penchant for rapping alongside Jazzy Jeff. What a treat this Urban Species tee is, from their Life Magazine collection, we are loving the 90's style design which shows Will off to a tee!
