Heroes In A Halfshell…….. and T-Shirt, Mug & Loungepants!
The year was 1989 and a phenomenon had just began - four fearless fighting green machines quickly took over this ten year old boys life and an obsession quickly ensued!
Their names: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Turtle Mania was massive. In every store window, on every high street would be Turtles merchandise, shop keepers praying and rubbing their hands waiting for whiney kids to nag their parents to buy, posters, toys, pencil cases or colouring books. My parents would avoid taking me past such places for obvious reasons.
I could only dream of the day when I'd finally work for a place that sold such things - Backpacks, T-shirts, Loungepants,Socks and Mugs; I'm wearing my Turtles Boxers Shortsright now!

What does a Christmas Jumper mean to you?
For me it's not so much the Christmas Jumper but the whole Festive Season. The season brings about a chance for everyone to stretch the boundaries of what is normally publically acceptable, it's a very liberating, fun and exciting feeling to be able to walk into a shop, nip to my local pub or even book into a high end restaurant wearing a garish, Cheesy Christmas Jumper which rather than the ridicule you would expect at any other time of year, sparks cheers, compliments and the much loved 'where did you get that?'.
Wrap Up Warm With TruffleShuffle This Bonfire Night!
Wooosh! Fizzle! Kablaaamo!
No, it's not an episode of Batman from the 60's, it's likely these are some of the noises you may be hearing tonight! Just a mere five days after getting dressed up like a weirdo, Bonfire Night is most likely everyoneâs second favourite day of fun.
Building fires out of old pieces of discarded furniture, crumpling up newspaper and stuffing them in an old pair of paisley pyjamas your kind old granpappy donated to you for the Guy.
Keeping warm was the thing - your mum would wrap you up as if preparing for a hike to Antarctica, Parker, mittens with the piece of string, scarf and woolly hat, never before has anyone been so cosy.
So Let TruffleShuffle be your over-protective loving Mother this year and wrap you up nice and snug before you go off and enjoy bonfire night. From Sonic, Sesame Street and Care Bears to Muppets and Gremlins, we have a great selection of warm and cosy hats to keep you snug and don't forget to add one of our Harry Potter scarves for some extra warmth!
