Perhaps there was something you wondered about us? Or maybe you just want to know what we think about something? Following some amazing questions coming our way, we decided to just take a bit of time to pick out our faves and answer them on our blog.....so here it is!
Let's dive in an see what gems we can come out with this time :)
Neil Symmonds asks.... "What's the funniest reason used on a t shirt return"
TruffleShuffle: Hmmmm around Christmas time we see a lot of âI got fat over Christmasâ scribbled on the returns slip. We have a LOT of lovely customers, so drawings are always a massive hit in the office. Pretty sure weâve naively helped stalkers going by the returns slips we get. Not that we find heartbreak funny, but we often receive returned items that have suffered the consequences of a nasty split up. âThe bi**h dumped me 2 days before Valentineâs Day, please exchange this âMiss Happyâ tee for a menâs âPlayer Snoopyâ tee. We find it amusing, and somewhat dedicated that people have their head screwed on in these circumstances. Cancel the joint account, change my status to âSingleâ on Facebook, tell my parentsâ¦.and most importantly exchange her t-shirt for something I can wear.
Check out our amazing 'washing line of thanks' and funny return slips from our amazing customers and fans. Makes us smile in the mornings!
We've Come Up Trumps With Our Cool New Card Games!
Ever stuck for retro gifts for that retro kid in your life? Well, these made me smile â memories of Top Trumps in the playground in the 1980s came flooding backâ¦
If you've never heard of Top Trumps, where have you been? It's a card game. Each card contains a list of numerical data, and the aim of the game is to compare these values in order to try to trump and win your opponents card. Back in the day it was all about pitting the latest sports cars, ships, lorries, or tanks against each other. But nowadays the range is MASSIVE, and not restricted to mini-petrolheads. You can play this classic game with everything from DC Superheroes and Transformers, Disney Princesses or Spongebob right the way through to Moshi Monsters!!
So, even in this digital age kids (big or small) can put down their PSP's and ditch their DS's in favour of a good old fashioned (sorry I mean retro) card game now in stock!!
TruffleShuffle Buyers Look of the Month!
Well, Autumn is well and truly here. We can't fight it so we will have to just learn to live with it! Personally I actually love this time of year, a chance to snuggle up in cosy jumpers drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows, it's all about comfort!
With the 90's revisited this season, all over catwalks and the high street and as channeled by the girl of the moment Cara Delevingne, this has to be where the look for the ladies get's its inspiration this month!
This amazing Burger Jumper by Mr Gugu & Miss Go as seen on Cara herself is not only fun and quirky, it's also super toasty for those chilly Autumn evenings!
To complete this look, these amazing Mom Jeans from Topshop are just perfect! They would also look great teamed with one of our awesome ladies tees from cult favourite, Local Heroes.
Our Classic Childhood Toys and Games, Then and Now!
We've all got cherished memories of the favourite toys we had when we were growing up and here at TruffleShuffle we are dedicated to bringing these memories flooding back to you with a collection of great Games T-Shirts and Toys T-Shirts. I am going to take you lucky people on a trip down memory lane with this blog post and then bring you bang up to date as I take a look at some of our favourite toys and games we had when we were younger and what those toys look like now, some of them have evolved in very interesting ways...
My Little Pony first trotted onto the scene in 1983 and was instantly popular with little girls all over the world. First arrivals included Blossom, Cotton Candy, Minty and Snuzzle and there have been many more additions over the years including fan favourites such as Applejack, Princess Sparkle and Lickety Split. The cute and girly look of these toys are instantly recognisable and synonymous with the 80s!
My Little Pony has evolved over the years, but the most radical makeover came in the form of My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic which launched in 2010. These ponies have been given a new Japanese inspired style and have gained a whole new fan base of boys and girls of all ages. The 'Brony' fandom are a passionate lot and their community has made sure that the love for My Little Pony is still going strong after all these years.
