13 things you (probably) didn't know about TruffleShuffle!

13 years ago this very month we took to the interwebs and registered the weird and wonderful domain name TruffleShuffle.co.uk & we were officially born! To mark this super special occasion, we thought we would take a little walk down memory lane and give you our top 13 memorable moments at here at TruffleShuffle. Hopefully you'll learn a little something about who we are, where we've come from and where we're heading. Let's go!

1. MAY 2004

We sold our very first t-shirt on the mighty (old looking) eBay. With the money from this sale, we scurried online and purchased the domain name truffleshuffle.co.uk. Why TruffleShuffle? It's retro, it's cool and we LOVE the Goonies?!

10 Things You [Probably] Didn't Know About…Kellogg's

For as long as we'd like to remember, each morning we've been joined around the breakfast table by one special brand....Kellogg's!

Creators of some of the most iconic cereals and adjoining characters, Kellogg's have been the boys to beat in the cereal game and are as much a household staple now as they have been for the last 100 years.

Inspired by their greatness and of course our fond memories through the years of some of our favourite bowls of retro deliciousness, we've just gotten our hands on some amazing new Kellogg's merchandise including notebooks, lip balms, keyrings, erasers and much much more!

To help really get into the spirit, we've decided to base one of our classic 10 Things You Didn't Know About… blog posts on this food icon. Hopefully you'll also get to learn some pretty cool facts along the way too. Enjoy!

1- Kellogg's has been to the moon! Yep the Apollo 11 astronauts brought a Kellogg cereal to the moon, as part of their breakfasts during the mission.

10 Things You [Probably] Didn't Know About Top Gun!

As soon as you here the opening chords of Kenny Loggins’ "Danger Zone," you are transported back to a time when the coolest men in the universe were flying F-14 Tomcats for the Navy and had silly names like Maverick, Goose and Ice Man. "Top Gun" made Tom Cruise a household name and gave Meg Ryan one of her first movie gigs. But even though it’s one of the most frequently quoted guy movies, how well do you really know it? Here are some facts about "Top Gun" that might surprise you.

10 - The bar in which a boozy rendition of "Great Balls of Fire" was performed is real, and still exists. It’s called Kansas City BBQ, and it’s in San Diego, California. Although a 2008 fire destroyed a lot of its memorabilia, the piano is still there and they still sell Top Gun t-shirts.
