So in the dark and rough sub zero seas off the Gulf of Alaska, while waves crash against the bow of a  weather beaten fishing trawler let us be your sea hardened Captain as we navigate you to retro cinematic greatness, we'll cast our nets for mega movie awesomeness so we can catch tons of classic silver screen moments. Three eccentric scientists put their hi-tech gadgetry and knowledge of the paranormal to money-making use by setting up in business as  freelance ghost catchers. A musician calls them in to investigate when she sees strange creatures in her kitchen, only to end up  possessed. As the spook-hunting team members deal with an attempt to shut their operation down, they discover an evil demonic entity is  being summoned into existence and it falls to them to stop this creature from destroying the world. Now in just hearing that news, you're probably feeling like a bit of a dinosaur already huh...you're not alone! We couldn't believe our eyes and ears when we discovered that  amazing 20 years ago (ahh stop mentioning it!) Jurassic Park first hit our screens and roared it's way into our hearts, minds and collection.

Now some movies are well known, some are huge, and a select few are just monstrous! Jurassic Park certainly falls in this latter category as it blitzed all other competition at the time and was a simply mammoth success leaving it's muddy footprint in the movie world forever (spotted the dino references yet? Keep up!).

For those not in the know, the story follows a select crew as they visit a remote island where a wealthy entrepreneurs' scientists have begun breeding dinosaurs from the stored blood in preserved insects. Harmless fun so far right? One of the parks' own workers (the annoying geeky guy) attempts to steal the dinosaur embryos for his own gain, and has to shut down critical security systems in the process, essentially allowing all the creatures to escape and create havoc over the entire island! It's then a fight for survival.

Guess what guys....the amazing new Superman flick 'Man of Steel' is flying it's spandex wearing way into your local cinema THIS WEEK!!

It's been veeeery long awaited and we've been craving some more Clark Kent action from the very first time we even know it was going to be made. Ohh what a great day that was....anyway! With so much buzz surrounding this new film with it's action-packed cinematic adventure including some amazing flight scenes, we just had to share our excitement with you guys and perhaps share a little about what to expect this week.

So what's it all about?

Clark Kent is a young twenty something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.” - official synopsis.

But what?? No mention of Zod OR Lois!? It's seems the main focus of this new installment will be his struggle to find our his purpose and reason for being there as well as his origins.

Talli-Ho! It's the blinking weekend!

So in a lush green field with a scattering of trees under a bright blue sky let us sit down on a red gingham blanket as we open our wicker picnic basket and prepare for you sandwiches cram filled with chunky retro movie masterpieces, slices of crunchy cinematic awesomeness topped off with creamy delicious celluloid wonder.
