We've Bean Going Crazy for Mr Bean!

Here at Truffle Towers, following the recent arrival of our very own official Mr Bean T-Shirts we’ve bean getting a little obsessed with the comedy legend himself Mr Bean. His troublesome antics have had the whole office in stitches.

His quirky and unique take on life has you watching in wonder and crying with joy as he scrabbles his way out of trouble in the most creative and inventive ways. Kind of like if you combined Charlie Chaplin’s silent slapstick style with the initiative of Mcgyver.

This Clip may explain my point a little clearer

Mr Bean is a true golden crown of British comedy, when you consider his ability to have you rolling on the flood with laughter with barely saying a word, he may even be the Charlie Chaplin of our time! His comedy spans across generations, countries, cultures and is so global despite any language barriers.

So, to help put our Bean cravings at rest, here are five of some of my favourite scenes from the Slapstick McGyver himself Mr Bean....

1)Mr Bean Paints his house

2)Mr Bean Parking Lot

Brand new retro iPhone cases!

These modern iPhones are all well and good, but if you're looking to inject some charm and retro appeal to your mobile we've got some cool iPhone cases that will be right up your street.  These retro iPhone cases remind us of what we used to entertain ourselves with before the invention of the smart phone, and what fun times they were!

Let me take you back to the early ‘Noughties'.  This Nokia inspired case will protect your phone and tar you with the ‘retro cool' brush at the same time!

At the time you owned a handset like this, you probably thought you were cutting edge. And while compared to the iPhone now, this model seems like something from the dark ages – it actually wasn't so long ago that it WAS cutting edge.

Remember sitting in the back of the car on long trips fighting with your brother or sister over your favourite handheld computer game? Well now you can have your very own. And, what's more, this one will house your very own 21st century gadget in hard-shell style!

Made to look like a genuine 90s Gameboy, the gaming cover will give your iPhone 5 some effortless retro flair..

10 Things You [Probably] Didn't Know About...Superman

With the amazing new Superman film Man of Steel coming our way in the not to distant future (well...Friday 14th June to be exact), we thought it would be the perfect time to dig up some cool, interesting and perhaps shocking Superman facts to tickle your superhero taste buds in preparation for the action packed feature film.

Some of these you may already know, some you might not (we didn't!), but sit back and breath it all in :)

1) Superman was originally created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster waaaay back in 1932 but was rejected many times by many different publishers. When Jerry and Joe originally created Superman he also wasn't the bright blue and red caped superhero we all love today which may have been a reason.

2) Superman wasn't actually born 'Super'. That's right! All people on his home planet Krypton are essentially powerless as the planet has a red Sun, it's not until Superman lands on Earth which Sun is yellow which means a Kryptonian's cells can absorb and convert these new solar rays into incredible power. As young Clark Kent grew older, he grew more powerful as his body was able to store more solar energy and convert it more effectively making him super!

3) The S in the Superman shield logo doesn't actually stand for Superman. Wowowowhaaat?! The explanation for Superman's symbol has changed a few times. For decades, the comics simply said it was nothing more than a stylized monogram designed by Clark and his adopted parents, something they whipped up together after deciding on his new alias. HOWEVER....Superman: Birthright, writer Mark Waid revealed that the symbol was not a family crest, as the films had first indicated, but was an ancient Kryptonian symbol that meant "hope." The name Superman came after the symbol was created.

The beauty of our youth - a trip down memory lane.....

If you were born in the eighties/grew up in the nineties, this is sure to strike a nostalgic chord!

Your 'look' simply wasn't complete without these trusty beauty essentials.....

Hair Mascara

Sounded great but inevitably always ended up looking absolutely rubbish - even the posh Dior ones! And even worse was when they started flaking out - bright red/blue/purple dandruff was never going to be a good look. Thank god for the disguise of butterfly clips and scrunchies!
