Time Flies! Top Gun First Premiered Today 28 Years Ago!
Okay okay, NOW we're starting to feel old :( But hey! There's still plenty of reasons to be both happy and proud about growing up at the time we did, we live that fact every single day with our huge collection retro inspired tshirts and gifts that just have us re-living the best childhood years ever....sooooo we're not too worried now.
Alas! As spine-tingling, mind blowing, heart pounding as it is to believe, 80s icon and total movie masterpiece Top Gun is turning a whopping 28 years old today. Eeeep!

Since hitting the silver screen for the first time back on the 12th of May 1986 at it's premiere in New York, it's had a home in all of our movie collections and has inspired some of or bestselling t-shirts EVER and many a stag weekend too. :)
To celebrate in style, we thought we would put together some of our top reasons that Top Gun is just so cool including some of our favourite scenes, quotes and pictures to have your nostalgia taste buds tinging.

Go Go Power Rangers....Film!
Big news retro fans! Movie powerhouse Lionsgate and LA based private investment firm Saban Brands who launched "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" TV series more than 20 years ago will be partnering up as they do battle, donning the spandex and creating an all new live-action Power Rangers movie!
Pretty much a dream for any 90s kid!
Like so many retro icons in recent years such as Transformers, TMNT and Spider-man, they're looking to re-launch and revitalize the brand and characters into the modern age in spectacular big screen feature film fashion!
The dynamic teenage crime-fighting team was first launched in way back in 1993 (21 years ago! eeeep) as a live action TV series and has since kept a strong global fan base.

So as we venture fourth into the unknown, choppy, shark infested waters off the Florida keys, let us be your hard nosed, chiseled featured, big game fisherman as we prepare our tackle box for the might of mega movie mayhem. We'll cast of our lines into an ocean of cinematic awesomeness to catch the almost mythical sea beast that is celluloid wonder!

Yep, that iconic super sweet Coca-Cola is the largest nonalcoholic drinks company in the world! Not hard to believe really is it? Coke has become a staple of pretty much every shop, bar, restaurant, vending machine, sports event, cinema and perhaps even home and certainly has a home in most of our lives.
Since it's beginnings waaaay back in 1886, The Coca-Cola Company has become one of the most recognizable brands and names on the planet and shows no sign of stopping with some amazing fact and stats surrounding it's global activities.
To help celebrate this big day in style, other than drinking more of the sweet fizzy stuff than we really should, we decided it would be fun to sniff out and put together some cool little facts about this real drink icon so we can all learn a little more about the classic brand and drink we all know and love.
