Over the last 38 years, millions of children have had the joyful experience of flicking through the Argos catalogue and picking out their Christmas lists.
The excitement of carefully copying the name of the latest toy/game along with it's trusty catalogue number in preparation for Santa to (hopefully!) make all your Christmas dreams come true was the best thing ever.
If that makes you all warm and tingly, then this awesome imagery we stumbled upon of past Argos catalogues will surely evoke ultra nostalgic memories of Christmas Past.
Check out this gem of a page which stars Rainbow Brite, Roland Rat and My Little Pony among other old school faves!

Need Inspiration? The TruffleShufflers Have Created Some Retro 80′s Pumpkins To Die For!!!
This week, the TruffleShufflers have been racking their brains and seeking inspiration for that well-known Halloween dilemma, what the hell do I carve into my pumpkin???
Yes, for this week's Friday Facebook competition, everyone at Truffle Towers was given their very own pumpkin with the brief that we had 2 days to design and create a character carving with a retro, 80's spin.
Well, I must say the end results were very impressive! After a week of highly competitive talk and secretive Internet researching, the portly pumpkins have now been papped and released on our Facebook page!
The name of the game is to LIKE or comment on your favourite to help us decide which TruffleShuffler deserves the title of Pumpkin carving chief! The one with the most votes wins the TruffleShuffler a prize and whoever likes or comments on any pumpkin gets popped into a hat and we'll randomly select one of you to win a special Halloween treat! You can enter here until 2pm today so please do get invovled!
So, here are the entries..
No Tricks this Halloween....just Treats with our 80's Fancy Dress!
With Halloween fast approaching â we have an office full of very excited TruffleShufflers!
We do love any excuse to get glammed up in Fancy Dress - and with head turning results like this, who could blame us?
Perhaps this year Lee could opt for something a little more...'manly'? (We did have plenty of options available, however this seemed like the best idea at the time!)
Apart from the difficult task of deciding what party you are going to â the most important thing is choosing a costume and as always - TruffleShuffle have it sorted. Whether it be as simple as adding one of our retro wigs to an 80âs-tastic outfit or going all out and dressing up as your favourite Super Hero or 80âs icon, we have lots retro halloween costumes to choose from.
I have decided to ditch the home made costume (involving black bin bags and a whole lot of hard work!) and opt for something a bit more exciting:
Go Team Go!
Junk Food Clothing are top of the league when it comes to old school tees and their latest NFL collection is no exception!

The NFL has been popular in the UK since the 1980's when it was first shown on TV and several games were played at Wembley during the 80's and early 90's. Started initially as the American Professional Football Association in 1920, the league changed its name to the National Football League in 1922 and is made up of 32 teams from across America. Each NFL team plays sixteen regular season games and then the top six teams in each conference compete in the playoffs until the NFC and AFC champions are crowned. The showcase of the season is the Superbowl when those two teams play for the Vince Lombardi trophy.
This official collaboration with the National Football League features exclusive vintage art and classic league imagery from one of our favourite brands but we've only got limited numbers available so grab yours now and prepare to pledge allegiance to your team of choice....
Wakka-Wakka-Wakka, Here comes Pac-Man!
Being a massive fan of old skool gaming I am very excited to unveil a new range of giftware featuring Pac-Man, everyoneâs favourite ghost-gobbling, pill-guzzling, motor mouth!
Iâm a huge fan of the all time classic arcade game and always used to get super excited whenever I would see the Pac-Man booth in the arcades, it was always the best way to spend my ten pence pieces! An interesting fact for you (possibly nicked from the Scott Pilgrim film...) is that Pac-Man was originally called Puck-Man, this comes from the Japanese phrase âPaku-Pakuâ which means to flap oneâs mouth open and closed. There you go, you learn something new every day!
I know itâs a little bit early to talk about as these gifts are going to be added throughout the next month, but I am really pleased to be able to show you what great things there are to look forward to. With products ranging from bottle openers to soap on a rope thereâs something for everyone! Hereâs a rundown of whatâs due.
Shaped just like the Pac-Man character with his distinctive eyes and open mouth, the Pac-Man Bottle Opener is guaranteed to be a conversation starter at any party. His distinctive yellow body and black eyes and mouth means heâll really stand out in your kitchen drawer. However, you probably wonât want to hide him away so two small magnets have been incorporated onto the back of the bottle opener allowing him to be attached conveniently to your fridge door. The presence of the two magnets also means bottle tops stick to the magnets once opened rather than being thrown on the floor, allowing them to be disposed off tidily.
The perfect gift for any stressed out video game enthusiast or retro collector. Can't finish that super hard level? Give Pac-Man a squeeze, we're sure he'll help!
