10 Things You [Probably] Didn't Know About...Star Wars
Much like the ever-expanding universe (probably), we love to broaden our horizons and cram-pack our little busy minds full of cool facts, trivia, and insights into some of our all-time favourite films and shows. SO! to continue our ongoing quest for knowledge, we decided to dive into the weird and wonderful world of Star Wars and pluck out some cool things we find along the way to show you.
Setting comfortably? Star Wars TShirt on? Let's begin!
It took an impressive 6 puppeteers to operate Jabba The Hutt!
Most stormtroopers are shown to be left-handed because of the construction of their blaster rifles. Based on a real weapon, the magazine would have hit the troopers in their chest because of the design. Therefore, they had to switch grips, which might explain why they're all such terrible shots!
Classic Movie Cars Go Under The Hammer
This week at Truffle Towers we've gone all 'car'azy with the exciting news that some of the most iconic retro movie cars have been sort of re-discovered and are being put up for sale!
Two of our most favouritist cars ever, the while Lotus Esprit from James Bond's The Spy Who Loved Me AAAAND the infamous Ferris Bueller based on the Ferrari 250 GT California (dreamy!), which although is a replica, still has an impressive 500 ponies in the stable to help get you down the road. Not bad eh!
This car is such a huge part of the film and anyone who has seen it (hopefully you lovely lot!), knows and loves this car. Three replicas were built in just four weeks for this film and they didn't really get treated too well as we know :/
In 2010, DJ and The One Show presenter Chris Evans paid an amazing £12m (yes...12 million!) for a genuine 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO which makes it one of the most expensive cars...EVER!
If this is perhaps a little rich for you, you can always pick up one of our official Ferris Bueller T-Shirts for only £19.99...
