Welcome one and all to this weeks retro weekend movie rundown.
This weekends picks are an amalgamation of modern day classics and nostalgic retro masterpieces. I sincerely hope you take some time out to enjoy some of the films on offer this week and don't forget to let me know what you thought of them all!

SATURDAY 12th MAY
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) Channel 4 6:35pm-10:00pm (3 hours 25 minutes)
An unassuming hobbit is plunged into a battle against the forces of darkness when his uncle bequeaths him a magical ring of immense power. He joins a fellowship of heroes to embark on a perilous quest to destroy the ring before it falls into the hands of its creator - a dark lord who needs it to regain his power and conquer the world. Minimalist Superheroes
There's nothing I like more than Trawling the internet for random pictures and videos. And every so often you find fresh artistic talent that just catches you eye, in this case made even better by its retro inspired theme. These Minimal Superhero Posters by art student Calvin Lin perfectly demonstrate my point.
The minimalist designs are great, from Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman to Green Lantern and others, every poster is also 100% clear, without ever showing too much.
I don't know about you, but I'd love these hung around my house!

Welcome one and all to this weeks retro weekend movie rundown. Do we have some classics for you this week?! 8 movies that span a generation, from Saturday itâs all about angry cops and toilet humour and on Sunday itâs about getting in touch with your inner child and reminiscing. So grab some munchies, relax, peel your eyes open and enjoy!
SATURDAY 5th MAY

New York cop John McClane is in LA to visit his wife and kids over the Christmas holiday. Stopping off at his wife's place of work, he realises armed men have hijacked the building and are holding the corporation's staff to ransom - and only he has the ability to fight back. Action thriller, starring Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman and Bonnie Bedelia.
Tango & Cash (1989) ITV4 9:30pm-11:35pm (2 hours 5 minutes)
Two rival LA detectives are constant thorns in the side of a ruthless drug baron, so he has them framed for murder and sent to prison. Surrounded by vengeful crooks they put behind bars, the combative duo are forced to bury their differences to escape and prove their innocence. Action adventure, with Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell, Teri Hatcher and Jack Palance.

Amazing, Cult Movie Tees
There's nothing we like better than snuggling up on the sofa under a blanket with a huge bucket of salty popcorn watching old school movies when the rain is pounding down outside! Our love of all the cult classics, has fed our insatiable desire to buy as many amazing movie tees as possible. Here is a little glimpse of some of the highlights.
The 80's heralded the arrival of a group of teens who made a massive impact on the movies of the day. Stars such as Matthew Broderick, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy,Andrew McCarthy, Judd Nelson and Emilio Estevez acted out their angst in a series of coming of age films.
