Grange Hill....we all grew up watching it, didn't we?

First aired in 1978 - it was the perfect time for us 80's kids. Following a group of rebel kids as they work their way through their school years - I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say it was a big part of our childhoods.

Having said that, can you IMAGINE the excitement on our little faces when our Grange Hill t-shirts landed at TruffleShuffle?

It might amaze you (or not) to learn that this very day back in 2001 (which doesn't actually feel too long ago but it's a huge 12 years ago now...eeep) saw the last ever episode of one of our all time favourite TV shows Round The Twist.

This certainly wasn't your average show, my memories of this retro icon that first aired in 1989 are...of course the lighthouse, VERY weird goings on that seemed pretty typical for the place, and above all else...THAT THEME TUNE!

As soon as this classic tune started, you knew you were in for a treat, pretty much anything could happen in the next 25 minutes and it usually did. I seem to recall one episode where someone turned into a giant bird? Just me? Fancy getting this song stuck in your head all day again?? Listen below

Only four series of this wacky show were made despite the show having an 11-year run. The first two series were based on fantasy stories written by author Paul Jennings, the latter two were based on a variety of authors' work. There were a fair few different editions of this show with a second series, with many roles re-cast made in 1992, a third series, again re-cast, was made in 2000, followed by a fourth (with some roles again re-cast) in 2000!

It followed the bizarre lives of the Twist family. Tony Twist (aka Dad) and his three children....the twins, Pete and Linda, and youngest son, Bronson who move from the city to the sea-side village of Port Niranda. They move into an old lighthouse, previously owned by their new neighbour, Nell, and their new lives begin. Strange things happen to the Twist family, strange but hilarious things.

Here at Truffle Towers, following the recent arrival of our very own official Mr Bean T-Shirts we’ve bean getting a little obsessed with the comedy legend himself Mr Bean. His troublesome antics have had the whole office in stitches.

His quirky and unique take on life has you watching in wonder and crying with joy as he scrabbles his way out of trouble in the most creative and inventive ways. Kind of like if you combined Charlie Chaplin’s silent slapstick style with the initiative of Mcgyver.

Mr Bean is a true golden crown of British comedy, when you consider his ability to have you rolling on the flood with laughter with barely saying a word, he may even be the Charlie Chaplin of our time! His comedy spans across generations, countries, cultures and is so global despite any language barriers.

I’m James – I’m in charge of product design here at TruffleShuffle and I just wanted to reach out to all you My Little Pony Friendship is Magic fans out there.

We’re working on introducing some new designs to our official range of My Little Pony T-Shirts but as no-one knows the ever changing, fast paced nature of Friendship is Magic better than you guys, we wanted to get your input and ideas so we can make sure the new range is exactly what you want to see.
