10 Things You [Probably] Didn't Know About...Alice In Wonderland
One of our favoutite blogs is back folks! Yep we love nothing more than scurrying about the net in search for some amazing and perhaps little known facts about some of our favourite films, TV show, bands and books in our "10 Things You Didn't Know About..." feature!
This time we've been inspired by our very latest range of exclusive Alice in Wonderland clothing that have just hit our store. Such a timeless classic, we just had to get to work thinking up and creating some fantastic designs that all you fans out there will love just asm uch as we do. So! 1. In the 1930s, the novel was banned in China on the grounds that animals should not use the language of humans!
2. Name change! Before it was called Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the author actually named it Alice's Adventures Under Ground. (The characters in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland called it Under Land.)
3. Mock Turtle soup IS REAL! It was a popular dish in Victorian times. It was made from various odd parts of a calf. EEEEW!
4. The 1951 movie adaptation is actually a combination of Lewis Carroll's two "Alice" books, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass". Maybe not such a hidden fact but still cool!
5. Since it was first published, Alice In Wonderland has never been out of print and has been translated into at least 97 languages. Amazing! Asombroso! Sorprendente! Incroyable!

When asked about the meaning of the lighthouse, Virginia Woolf responded, âI meant nothing by The Lighthouse. One has to have a central line down the middle of the book to hold the design together." This wonderful tee from Out Of Print features the the first edition cover for Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse.

The Day of the Doctor - Doctor Who 50th Anniversary!
Calling all Doctor Who fans, today is the 50th anniversary of the BBC's longest running sci-fi extravaganza and there's going to be a mammoth feature length episode of the show to celebrate!
The 50th anniversary episode will air at 7.50pm on BBC One and is going to be broadcast as part of a worldwide simulcast in over 75 countries, which is testament to just how popular Doctor Who has become! An official statement has been revealed outlining what you can expect from the Doctors greatest adventure yet...
"In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London's National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor's own dangerous past comes back to haunt him."
The episode will pay homage to the show's history with appearances from Tenth Doctor David Tennant and his companion Billie Piper as well as a few other special guests that are being kept under wraps, who else could be returning? It's all very exciting as the show's boss Steven Moffat has promised that this episode will change the narrative of the show in a big way, we can't wait!
