10 Things You [Probably] Didn't Know About...Mr Men & Little Miss
As you know, we're huuuuge Mr Men & Little Miss fans! So much so we tucked ourselves away and worked as hard as ever to create and bring you our exclusive range of Mr Men T-Shirts AND Little Miss T-Shirts! While digging our way through the iconic stories and books, it got us thinking of a cool little post we could do where we dive in and seek out some cool, interesting and perhaps shocking facts about one of our all-time favourite books. So here it is! Check out our 10 Things You Didn't Know About Mr Men & Little Miss!
1) "What's a tickle look like?" That was the question which launched the series, asked by a young Adam Hargreaves of his dad Roger. Inspired, Roger created the first Mr Men book, Mr Tickle, in 1971. Another five books came out that year.
2) The Mr Men books have been translated into 15 languages, and in this process several other Mr Men characters have been created by editors around the world, such as "Madame Oui" in France. Additionally, some characters have been renamed for foreign markets, such as Mr Jelly, who is known as Mr Nervous in the USA.
Happy Birthday Pulp Fiction! Here's Some Cool Facts....
That's right peeps! One of our all-time favourite retro flicks Pulp Fiction was released today back in 1994! A cool 19 years ago, some of the coolest cats ever to hit the silver screen first wowed us with it's amazing action, dark comedy moments and possibly one of the best all-star cast ever!
Directed and written by one of our heroes Quentin Tarantino, Pulp Fiction connects the intersecting storylines of Los Angeles mobsters, fringe players, small-time criminals, and a super mysterious briefcase. A lot of the screen time is devoted to conversations and monologues that reveal the characters' senses of humor and perspectives on life. Known for its slightly different film style which became slightly fragmented story telling style of the different characters, Pulp Fiction was widely considered the most influential American movie of the 1990s you know.
Well, anywho we're sure you guys have certainly seen it once or twice in your time and could tell us even more reasons to love it, so we've decided to search the web and pick out some cool lesser-known facts about this movie masterpiece that might shock, amaze or simply have you wanting to go back and watch it once more. So why was is called Pulp Fiction? Well the film's title refers to the pulp magazines and hardboiled crime novels popular during the mid-20th century, known for their graphic violence and punchy dialogue. Pulp Fiction is self-referential from its opening moments, beginning with a title card that gives two dictionary definitions of "pulp." The plot, as in many of Tarantino's other works, is presented out of chronological sequence.

My Little Pony first trotted onto the scene in 1983 and was instantly popular with little girls all over the world. First arrivals included Blossom, Cotton Candy, Minty and Snuzzle and there have been many more additions over the years including fan favourites such as Applejack, Princess Sparkle and Lickety Split. The cute and girly look of these toys are instantly recognisable and synonymous with the 80s!
My Little Pony has evolved over the years, but the most radical makeover came in the form of My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic which launched in 2010. These ponies have been given a new Japanese inspired style and have gained a whole new fan base of boys and girls of all ages. The 'Brony' fandom are a passionate lot and their community has made sure that the love for My Little Pony is still going strong after all these years.
Happy Roald Dahl Day! Here's 10 Facts You [Hopefully] Didn't Know
That's right peeps of the internets! It's Roald Dahl day today and we're busy celebrating one of the nations favourite authers in style with some of our fantastic retro Roald Dahl T-Shirts on and diving headfirst into the land of the man himself.
To help celebrate this big day, we've decided to pick out some cool Roald Dahl facts that's hopefully you won't already know, just to you can learn a little something new. Enjoy!
1) His first job wasselling kerosene in Midsomer Norton, he later went on to work for Shell while living in Kenya.
2) He was a Hurricane fighter pilot during World War II where he became a flying ace and intelligence officer, rising to the rank of wing commander.
3) He survived a plane crash! Struggling to find the airstrip, running low on fuel and with night approaching, he was forced to attempt a landing in the desert. The undercarriage hit a boulder and the aircraft crashed, fracturing his skull, smashing his nose and temporarily blinding him. He managed to drag himself away from the blazing wreckage and passed out. Later, he wrote about the crash in his first published work.

Like many kids back in the day and even now, we were raised with some of the most iconic kids films (that adults secretly love too!) ever made. Films that transported us to far far away lands where giant castles with monsters existed and even mermaids roamed under the sea with their crustacean buddies having a good old sing song. We are of course talking about Disney!
Even to this day we are still madly in love with these true icons, so much so that it's inspired us to get our hands on some classic Disney T-Shirts featuring the well-known animated faces.
