Eye of Thundera it’s only the Weekend

Many miles into the desert, deep into parts unknown. Riding head held high on top a camel fastened with water bottles and blankets. Let us be your intrepid explorer as we bravely seek out new lands of retro movie greatness, we’ll  meet savage tribes and trade with them for cinematic awesomeness before we discover their secrets and marvel at the celluloid wonder.

Bugsy Malone (1976) Film4  4:35pm-6:25pm (1 hour 50 minutes)

Alan Parker's slapstick musical comedy, featuring a cast composed entirely of children and following a war between rival gangsters in 1920s New York - fought with custard pies and cream-firing Tommy guns. When a slick mobster acquires devastating new weapons, his arch rival enlists the aid of a small-time chancer to steal them. Starring Scott Baio, Florrie Dugger and John Cassisi, with Jodie Foster in an early appearance.

Hello movie fans!! While some films are remembered for their earth shattering story, their amazing cast and the performance of their careers, other films stand the test of time by one or more simple quotes that just stick in our minds and have featured in many other places ever since. But is what people remember actually what is said in the film?? Turns out, maybe not!

10 Things You [Probably] Didn't Know About...Alice In Wonderland

One of our favoutite blogs is back folks! Yep we love nothing more than scurrying about the net in search for some amazing and perhaps little known facts about some of our favourite films, TV show, bands and books in our "10 Things You Didn't Know About..." feature!

This time we've been inspired by our very latest range of exclusive Alice in Wonderland clothing that have just hit our store. Such a timeless classic, we just had to get to work thinking up and creating some fantastic designs that all you fans out there will love just asm uch as we do. So! To get you super inspired and as a slight celebration of our fab new range, check out our 10 Things You Didn't Know About Alice In Wonderland!

1. In the 1930s, the novel was banned in China on the grounds that animals should not use the language of humans!

Alice In Wonderland banned china2. Name change! Before it was called Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the author actually named it Alice's Adventures Under Ground. (The characters in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland called it Under Land.)

Alice's Adventures Under Ground3. Mock Turtle soup IS REAL! It was a popular dish in Victorian times. It was made from various odd parts of a calf. EEEEW!

4. The 1951 movie adaptation is actually a combination of Lewis Carroll's two "Alice" books, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass". Maybe not such a hidden fact but still cool!

5. Since it was first published, Alice In Wonderland has never been out of print and has been translated into at least 97 languages. Amazing! Asombroso! Sorprendente! Incroyable!

The Weekly Retro Movie Rundown 82!

Alphabetti Spaghetti! Looks like the Weekend to me!

Once Upon a cloudy sky. Amongst a thick hazy Forrest, sat hunched over on a hollowed out log, gazing wearily over a steaming boggy marsh. Let us be your be-shaggled woodland Troll as we dribble, droll and blow snot bubbles in anticipation of something slimy and squidgy or boney and crunchy to eat. We'll be poised and ready to pounce onto some cinematic greatness, we'll prepare our nasty nosh with herbs and sprinkles of movie magic before we devoir the whole thing in one single gulp and belch out some celluloid wonder.
