MLP Friendship is Magic - Vote for your favourite fan design! (CLOSED)

My Little Pony Design Competition

Back in mid April we announced an opportunity for fans of the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic series to let us know what you wanted to see on our next range of official MLP Tees.

The response from you all has been absolutely amazing and we've had so many awesome submissions that it's been really hard to pick our winners, so a massive THANK YOU to everyone who submitted designs, illustrations or ideas. It's been such a pleasure speaking to you all and getting the chance to see the fantastic things you came up with.

We've had the tricky job of whittling down the submissions to our favourite eleven and would like you guys and gals to get involved by voting for which of these you would like us to actually produce.

The three designs with the most votes will go into full production and be made available to buy ASAP, so every vote really counts! Simply select the each design you like, in the preferred gender and then click 'Vote' for each design that you like separately. Easy!

Here they are…….

Our Top Retro Dads

Hi peeps!

Just when you thought we had covered almost everything retro inspired idea on our little corner of cyberspace, POW! here we are with yet another look back at the great and good from the 80s, a retro reminisce if you wish.

With Father's Day fast approaching (16th June), we thought we would take some time to look back and pick out some of our all-time favourite Dads either from the small or big screen.  Some quirky, some strict, som...well...different in their own way let's say but we love them all the same.

George McFly

Somewhat of a timid and shy character at first, George is Marty McFly's Dad from Back to the Future 1-3. For those who have yet to see these classic...what are you thinking?? but anyway....George is portrayed as weak and the main target of Biff Tannen's bullying. He later, thanks to some help from his son Marty, musters up some courage and get what he wants and ends up with the girl. A lovable guy, George is a great part of the film series.

Wayne Szalinski

If you haven't recognised him already, it's the Dad from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. The classic tale where this wacky scientist accidently shrinks his two kids and two others the the size of insects...as you do. As you can imagine, being that small is a scary place and the tale follows the kids journey of survival while they encounter ants, sprinklers, cerial and more. Okay okay, so maybe it's not the best parenting you will ever see, but this zany guys is so lovable and you have got to admire his passion and creativity huh.

When Baywatch ‘wave’d goodbye to our screens! xoxo

First aired in 1989 - Baywatch was one of the coolest shows on TV! Today marks the anniversary of the last ever show back in 2001. David Hasslehoff and Pamela Anderson running round wearing very little was probably the main highlight..but putting aside the tiny bikinis, and the even tinier speedos, it was also full of action packed story lines that seemed to keep us all entertained as we were growing up. Everything from earthquakes, shark attacks - serial killers, nuclear bombs....every now and again someone would nearly drown too - just a minor theme in the show!

As we are wise owls when it comes to retro trivia - we're going to fill you in on some exciting facts relating to Baywatch!

* We sell AMAZING Baywatch T-shirts (and some pretty cool Baywatch costumes!).

* Baywatch is the brainchild of producer Gregory J. Bonann. He was a lifeguard who often worked with Michael Newman and came up with the series idea about lifeguards based on his experiences.

* Gregory pitched the idea around Hollywood for years without success until his sister married TV writer Douglas Schwartz. Douglas later teamed with Michael Berk and sold Gregory's idea to NBC.

* At its peak in the mid-90s, Baywatch was seen by over 1 billion viewers, was shown in over 144 countries in 23 different languages.

* The show drew more female viewers than male. Statistics showed that female viewership was at a dominating 65 percent!

New in from Amplified Clothing!

With the Sun just starting to peep it's little head from out of the clouds...well sometimes, we're feeling all Summery already which has sent our minds awash with thought's of the coming months and all that the good weather brings with it. One of the absolute highlights of any good Summer is of course.... Festivals (and well BBQ's of course).

Heading out to a big music event without even just one band t-shirt should frankly be considered a sin, okay okay so maybe turning up to the world biggest electro festival in a classic rock t-shirt might be a bit odd, BUT for the most of us attending the likes of Glasto, Reading and Leeds, Download, T in the Park etc, a humble rock t-shirt is the perfect partner in crime.

To help you guys find you perfect style this season, we've been working hard to bring in some amazing new designs that are sure to tickle your t shirt taste buds. Check out our latest collection from vintage t-shirt powerhouse Amplified Clothing....

Well...they're back and still at it! Yep The Rolling Stones have just kick-started their 50 Years and Counting Tour just last week in LA and as far as we can see, they've still got it! It's amazing how they can still bring so much energy and entertainment a whopping half a century on. We're celebrating this amazing feat with our latest Rolling Stones T-Shirts to show just that.

The Scenes That Really Shouldn't Be In Kids Films!

We recently posted this picture from The Lion King on our TruffleShuffle.com Facebook page and the huge response we got from you lovely lot about all the other tear jerking sad scenes that affected your childhood really got us thinking!

Perhaps kids movies shouldn't include such storylines - we are clearly all still emotionally scarred from whitenessing some of these moments right?

Some old, some new (a lot of them Disney!) - all intended as family friendly entertainment - well, we beg to differ.......! We even got a little tearful just researching for this feature :-(

Looking back over all of your comments, we decided to put together a little rundown of the kids films that affected you guys the most, so as voted by you - get the tissues ready........

10. The Fox And The Hound (when the old lady leaves little Tod in the woods!)

9. The Land Before Time (when Littlefoot's mother dies)

I'll be with you, even if you can't see me
