The Weekly Retro Movie Rundown 180

Stop the press! Another weekend is upon us which can only mean one thing! Time for another classic TruffleShuffle retro movie rundown!

With our telescope and binoculars all cleaned up, focused and at the ready, we find ourselves scanning the skies once again in search of some of the biggest and loudest jumbo jets in the sky! Like finding the perfect film for a night in, we'll sit down comfortably and let the excitement build as we follow the mighty aircraft across the sky and let our minds wonder as to where it might be going like all good stories should.

10 Things You [Probably] Didn't Know About…Disney's Frozen

It's sooooo nearly here! With the weather forecasts teasing us with the threat of snow, all us eager TruffleShufflers are dusting off our sleds, wellies and super thick socks in preparation for the fun and games that our favourite weather can bring, we've been looking for ways to get some of the icy stuff in our lives white we wait which has lead us to perhaps one of the biggest and best films surrounding our 'hot' topic, Frozen!

Since it first hit our screens back in 2013, Disney's Frozen has become something of a modern phenomenon with kids and big kids alike everywhere singing the soundtrack word for word. You know you can do it too! Wanting to know more about one of our Disney faves after our recent sing-along viewings, we thought we would dig up and share some cool facts about this icon. So sit back and enjoy our 10 Things You Didn't Know About… Frozen.

- Elsa is the only Disney princess who is NOT a teenager. Yep all the other princesses who are falling in love and running away are all in their teens. Elsa is 21.  - Side fact: Snow White is only 14!

- The plot for frozen was loosely based on a book called The Snow Queen written by Hans Christian Andersen. This adaptation was first put into development by Walt Disney way back in 1939. The characters names Hans, Kristoff, Anna, and Sven are a tribute to him.

- Oh that hair! Because of her braid, the films animators had to develop a program called Tonic just to animate Elsa's hair which also uses a whopping 420,000 CGI strands of hair!

Great wall of China! Another weekend? Sure why not!

Like an eagerly anticipating nominee for a big award, we find ourselves once again faced with a huge amount of opportunity before us like a long list of top retro films. A single decision will determine a great expanse of our lives (usually 90-120 minutes) and could just quite possibly take us to far and distant lands with some of the most colourful characters ever to hit the screen. We'll sit patently with a belly full of butterflies before the big title is revealed and the fate of our evenings will be defined.

TruffleShuffle Takes A Trip To The Harry Potter Studios!

For those of you who perhaps don't know a whole lot about the people at TruffleShuffle, we're all HUGE Harry Potter fans! Getting to think up, design and ultimately create our very own exclusive and official range of Harry Potter clothing is somewhat of a real dream and accomplishment for us. Seeing other fans loving them too is just about as cool as it gets too!

As such big fans of this wizardry phenomenon, naturally the films have been a massive part of our movie going lives and have more than secured their place in our DVD collections forever.

Just a few days ago now, this lucky TruffleShuffler had the chance to take a trip to the very place where a huge part of these spectacular films were created and visit the Warner Bros. Studio - The Making of Harry Potter Tour!

To give you a glimpse of what went down and what there is to see, we thought e would pop something together on our blog you you can all take a quick peep at some of the snaps I managed to capture along the way - Those of you who want to visit yourself with box fresh eyes, you might want to look away now.

From the first glimpse of the entrance, we could tell this place would be special. From the get go you're treated to one of the flying Ford Anglias that feature in The Chamber of Secrets hanging from the rafters and the super cool centerpiece from Hogwarts Astronomy Tower...
