Truly outrageous news.... There's a Jem And The Holograms movie on the way! #jemthemovie

All of glitter and gold filled dreams just came true!

We'd been given a nod by our friends at Hasbro that some BIG Jem news was on the way and here it is....

Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun, G.I. Joe: Retaliation director Jon M. Chu and Paranormal Activity producer Jason Blum announced via YouTube that they're working on modern day, live action reinvention of the 1980s Hasbro classic....

For the film, the trio are aiming to crowd-source crucial elements from casting to costume design. 'It's sort of like Kickstarter,' says Mr Chu, 'but instead of asking for your money, we're asking for your creativity.'

Fans can upload videos and photos to YouTube or Tumblr explaining what they love best about the original Jem with the hashtag #JemTheMovie.

PLUS They're put out an open casting call, asking people who can sing, dance and act to upload a two-minute video showcasing their talents for a chance to be involved.

GREAT SCOTT.... Back to the Future turns 28!! Is it the most perfect retro movie?

With so many dates involved with the three Back to the Future films it’s hard to work out which anniversary you should be wearing your Back to the Future T-Shirts for. Trust me, today is one of the days you should be wearing your flux capacitor with pride but that's not because it's the anniversary of the day that Doc Brown asks Marty McFly to meet him at 1:15 A.M. at the Twin Pines Mall it’s not even the anniversary of the day Doc, Marty, Jennifer and Einstein travelled to Oct. 21, 2015... 28 years ago today saw Doc Brown and Marty McFly unleashed on the public!

I may have only been 3 at the time, but with a massive love of all things automotive it wouldn't have taken a rocket scientist to work out that this retro blockbuster was likely to become my favourite flick! Never have I craved some movie merchandise so much more than wanting my very own DeLorean since the very first time I saw this movie!

I would be willing to bet that this is the perfect retro movie for petrolheads around the world, but is this movie really perfect? Well, with so many continuity errors in it it would appear not.... But I think I love the movie even more for it's funny little foibles. Here's 10 of my favourite....

1 - When Doc and Marty are at the Twin Pines Mall and Doc is telling Marty about the car etc, he says "never mind that now, never mind that now..." and Marty has the camera facing the ground, yet later when Doc in 1955 is watching the video, you can see him saying that on the video.

Happy Birthday Labyrinth!! Did you know....

Twenty-seven years ago today, a Jim Henson-directed fantasy movie called Labyrinth was released and... well, quickly became a bit of a box office disaster. This strange movie, about a girl (Jennifer Connelly) searching for her baby brother who's been kidnapped by a goblin king (David Bowie), was maybe a little too weird for mainstream audiences at the time.

But thankfully over the last 27 years whether it was due to the amazing creatures and sets or to Bowie’s extraordinary wig and lunchbox, it's really gathered a strong following and you only need to see the popularity of our Labyrinth T-Shirts to know this movie has definitely become a cult classic, and for good reason. Labyrinth is one of the last non-animated films of the pre-computer age. Yes, there is probably a few computer effects used in the film, but when you consider that 1986 was also the year that Pixar released Luxo Jr., marking the beginning of a computer animation revolution, Labyrinth's props-and-puppets approach to imaginative filmmaking feels like something of an to an era in film making.

To celebrate this fantastic mile-stone (yes, it makes me feel old too) I thought I'd give you 10 interesting facts surrounding Labyrinth, so enough gas-bagging as we only have 13 hours to reach Goblin City, after all….

1 - The screenplay went through 25 drafts, mostly to inject songs and more humour to ensure legendary pop star David Bowie would agree to star as antagonist Jareth the Goblin King.

As soon as you here the opening chords of Kenny Loggins’ "Danger Zone," you are transported back to a time when the coolest men in the universe were flying F-14 Tomcats for the Navy and had silly names like Maverick, Goose and Ice Man. "Top Gun" made Tom Cruise a household name and gave Meg Ryan one of her first movie gigs. But even though it’s one of the most frequently quoted guy movies, how well do you really know it?
