Holy nine months of trouble, Batman!
Batman: Arkham Asylum was universally praised for revitalising the superhero genre when it was released in 2009, and follow-up Batman: Arkham City is already being spoken of as being the best release of 2011, even before its official launch according to Gigwise!
One of the most anticipated games of the year, we canât wait to start gliding around the city on October 21st when it's officially released to Bat-fans in the UK!
Get an exclusive look at the game and the Dark Knight in action with this brand new gameplay trailer....
Looking good right!
According to recent reports, the game builds on what we already know and comes complete with a larger area to play, more Bat-skills to test out and gadgets to master. Not forgetting the ability to glide around the city!
âWhen we finished Arkham Asylum, we knew we wanted to take Batman into his spiritual home â Gotham City,â says game director Sefton Hill to The Metro. âBut we know that if we were to deliver the true Batman experience the player would need to have complete freedom to go anywhere and everywhere and that every square inch of the city would need to be realised with the same care and attention to detail as the asylum.â
This time, you also get the option of trying out other characters including the likes of Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing. According to the makers of the game, Rocksteady, 10% of the missions are Catwoman based where she has to climb buildings and crawl along rooftops and Robin and Nightwing will be available in the downloadable content to use on the challenges.
Katy Perry loves our Beans on Toast Ring which is given to her by a fan!
Katy Perry, known for her fashion forward statement looks was snapped out last night sporting our fabulously quirky Beans on Toast ring!
Katy sported the ring after playing her sell out California Dreams Tour @ The Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield and it turns out it was one of our lovely customers Becky who gave it to her. Yup - Becky was lucky enough to have won a meet and greet with Katie before the show during which she gave Katy the ring who loved it so much, she had actual tears in her eyes!
Even more excitingly, Katy herself then tweeted saying..
Yup, the singer instantly adorned her finger with ring and let the world know how much she loved it via Twitter! Cute or what!
A big thank you to Becky for spreading the TruffleShuffle love to one of our favourite pop princesses - follow her on twitter here!
Back To The Future Delorean Up For Auction!
Yes, you read it right! Back to the Future's III's iconic DeLorean is part of the upcoming Profiles in History auction and this awesome piece of movie history is expected to fetch a whopping $600,000 when it goes under the hammer in December!
One of only three of the seven DeLoreans used in the trilogy to survive, it was of course fitted with a flux capacitor and fuelled by plutonium, ready to travel through time when it reached a speed of 88mph.
For fans with slightly less cash to burn, the legendary hoverboard, which featured in Back to the Future Part II, is also on sale and estimated to fetch up to $20,000 (£12,800!) Marty's jacket and the shirt worn by his legendary mentor, Doc Brown are also up for grabs.
The auction is being held to raise money for Michael J Fox's Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Fox who played Marty Mc Fly in the awesome movie trilogy went public with his own battle with Parkinson's in 1998 after he was diagnosed seven years previously.
The auction, which will include other items of film memorabilia including a pair of Wizard of Oz ruby slippers, will take place December 15 to 17 so if you're prepared to dig pretty damn deep, keep your eye on the auction site here as more details will be revealed soon.
If however (like us,) these amazing pieces of movie memorabilia are sadly out of reach, never fear! Luckily, you can get your very own little piece of Back To The Future for just £5.99 right here on TruffleShuffle.com!
Do your bit for One25 + get a free ticket to see Ed Sheeran in an exclusive charity concert!
A few weeks ago, TruffleShuffle was contacted by the Bristol based charity, One25.
A small charity with big ambitions, their mission is to reach out to women trapped in street sex work, supporting them to break free and build new lives away from violence, poverty and addiction. One25 gives them the intensive support needed to step away from the streets: whether for crisis support with the help of their night van, an afternoon at their drop-in centre, or permanently with the help of one-to-one caseworkers and their new mother and baby home, Naomi House.
In order to continue their amazing work and help more vulnerable women and their families, One25 are running a brilliant fundraising campaign called 'Give it up for One25'... - a challenge for people to give something up for 125 hours OR 125 days from 4th November 2011 or 3rd March 2012 in return for sponsorship or donations to this amazing charity.
To help promote the campaign, they asked us whether we would help them to design and make their campaign tee which we were honoured to do! Our designer James worked with the One25 team to create a range of designs based round the charities logo and the 'Give It Up' theme. The charities facebook fans then chose their favourite and plumped for this design (good choice guys!)
As well as designing the tee, the TruffleShuffle team will all be doing their best to give something up (hair straighteners, coffee, moaning and chocolate are some of the things we'll be sacrificing!) in order to help raise much needed funds for the charity! Our favourite though is One25 fundraiser Lu Willott who is giving up NOT wearing our campaign t-shirt! Yes, she'll be wearing it wherever she goes for four months, even on Christmas day and at a black-tie dinner! Good on you girl.
Anyone can take part in this fundraising event so if you guys fancy doing your bit and helping One25 reach out to even more women in need......

Yes, Iâve quite literally challenged myself to watch as many retro movies as possible over the coming weekend. Don't worry - I've only chosen movies available on freeview or terrestrial channels so everyone can join in with my square eyed extravaganza.
The amount of awesome movies on the old telly box is quite frankly incredible so here's my very own old school TV guide for your viewing pleasure!
SATURDAY 8TH OCTOBER
As most normal people donât get out of bed on a Saturday before Noon, I'm starting with James Bond Live and Let Die which is on ITV4 at 12:30 - 3:00pm!
Here's a taster of that famous crocodile scene to wet your appetite...
Guest Post – meet the lovely Claire from 80scartoons!
Hiya!
I'm Claire and run 80sCartoons.co.uk which began back in 1998....has it really been that long? I was at art college in Dundee trying to teach myself web design, and had created a little homepage (most likely with a hideous tiled background, blinking text and animated gifs galore!) which mentioned a few of my favourite childhood cartoons
Any visitors that found my site (probably through Alta Vista or Lycos! Life before Google eh!) and signed my guestbook always commented on the cartoons and suggested more of their favourites that I should add...and so it grew from there!
Now it getting over 1,000 nostalgia-hungry visitors every day, and currently has over 8,000 Facebook followers! The demand for all things retro increases every year, especially as sites like TruffleShuffle have so many wonderful 80s goodies on offerto help to keep those memories alive!
Iâve been very lucky while running 80sCartoons, as Iâve managed to speak directly to many 80s cartoons âcelebsâ. If someone told me when I was 8 years old, that one day Iâd be talking directly with the maker of Button Moon, the animator of the Raggy Dolls, the creator of Jimbo and the Jet-Set the list goes on... I would have fallen off my rollerboots!
Iâve interviewed Terry Brain, who co-created Trap Door, which was a special treat for me as I was a huge fan back in the day. He also animated Stoppit and Tidyup, and went on to work for Aardman animation â that man is a legend! Amonst other things, he told me that Berk, Boni, Drutt & the big sponge were his favourite character creations and that his favourite Trap Door episode was 'Bye Bye Berk'!
